With all the rain in the last few days, that has led to considerable flooding in the Cascade foothills (about a 20-30 minute drive from the house). Never being one to miss an opportunity to be a disaster tourist, off to Snoqualmie Falls!
Here is a picture of what the falls normally look like.
So yeah, that was a lot of water. It almost felt Niagara Falls like, there was so much back spray. It genuinely was a little scary to stand on the viewing platform (that also could have been because it is pretty high up and I am petrified of heights) |
