Today is Tom Brokaw’s last day as the anchor of the NBC Nightly News. Now, it’s been a long time since I sat down and watched the evening news really – I mean, being the news junky that I am, I read internet news sites all day, and watch 24-hour cable news the rest of the time. It was the rare occasion that I sat down to watch those 22-minutes from 6:30 to 7 (or if you live in Central-goofy time, like when I lived in Missouri, the time slot was from 7 to 7:30). But in a strange sort of way, I am going to miss Tom Brokaw. He’s a pretty cool guy overall.
