Happy Second Day of Christmas. I clearly didn't actually get around to updating this in the last few days. My dad and I drove down to Boston on Saturday to pick up the German contingent (sister and family, aunt and cousin), and since then, there just hasn't been a lot of blogging happening. I have noticed that most of my friends haven't blogged much, and for that matter, no one has been online at all (either in a place with no internet access, or hasn't been a priority with friends and family around). Strange actually, seeing everyone I know actually is rather permanently connected to the internet, but I remember when telephone was more the medium of communication, and no one ever dared to call on holidays, lest you disturb.
Anyway, all that aside, it was a very nice holiday weekend with too much food, lots of presents and the like. Simon, my nephew, definitely got a lot of pressies. Today it's lunch with Jean and then family friends over for a dinner party. Lots of socializing (not my forte!) |
