As you know, I am a bit of a pro-tennis junkie. My favorite players – for years and years and year (and years!) have been Andre Agassi and Lindsey Davenport. Andre, as you all know, bowed out this summer at the U.S. Open and there has been talk for months and even years that Lindsey was also on her last tournament(s).
On Monday, Lindsey announced that she is pregnant, and was 'not planning on playing again'.
That is definitely defined as going out without fanfare, which, given her personality, is just the way she likes it. She's apparently very family oriented (always has been) and I think that this is a good way for her to go out. I will miss seeing her grace the court on my TV screen, but think she had a great run.
